The mission of the coaching movement in the ELCA is to, "Multiply leaders through coaching."
The Coaching movement in the Evangelical Lutheran Church began nearly 15 years ago, an attempt to empower and equip congregational mission developers in their work.
Today the movement is working to actively raise up and deploy coaches in synods all across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to empower the vitality of our leaders and congregations everywhere. The mission of the coaching movement in the ELCA is to, "multiply leaders through coaching."
How this is being expressed in each synod is different.
Here in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Synod, MetroDC Coaches began as an outgrowth of the collaborative dreaming of Pastors Phil Hirsch, Amy Sevimli, and Nathan Swenson-Reinhold.
Metro DC Coaches exists to empower pastors, congregational leaders, and congregations to greater and more effective mission, towards congregational vitality, and towards growth.
Hear from Metro DC Coach Coordinator, Pastor Nathan Swenson-Reinhold about why coaching is a powerful tool to help you discern where it is you want to go and how you can get there.
